Del Piero: Conte to Inter Milan is a strange move

Juventus club legend Alessandro del Piero feels Antonio Conte’s link to Inter Milan will be a strange move for the man.

Conte has previously managed Juventus where he won multiple Scudettos before joining the Italian national team.

He marked his debut season at Chelsea with a League title before signing off the next campaign with the FA Cup trophy.

His stint at Stamford Bridge was marred with issues with Diego Costa which led to the player’s exit and somehow played a part in Chelsea finishing outside the top-four due to their poor goal return.

Conte has reportedly been in talks with Inter Milan over possibly being the club’s manager next season with the former Juve man confirming he would manage in the Serie A next season.

Recently, Del Piero was talking to the press about the future of the former Italy boss.

Skriniar backs Antonio Conte to end Juventus’ dominance

Milan Skriniar reckons Antonio Conte's arrival signals "the right time" for Inter Milan to close the gap to Juventus and beat them in the Serie A.

He said via Calciomercato: “Conte to Inter? From a sporting point of view, it would certainly be strange, given his past, to see him on the Nerazzurri bench.

“But we are talking about a great professional and a team with great potential, and with the advent of Marotta, it would not surprise me as a move.

“The conditions for doing very well are there, its rigidity and its’ game system could help the Inter.”
