According to Senegalese striker Demba Ba, the Italian Lega Serie A is a melting point of racism, xenophobia, and homophobia.
Internazionale Milan striker Romelu Lukaku was subject of racist abuse this past weekend when his team visited Cagliari.
As he stepped in to take a penalty kick, the Cagliari fans made some monkey noises aimed at the former Manchester United player.
And the world of football is fed up, with some saying bigger punishment is needed.
Which is why Senegalese striker Demba Ba believes all black players should leave the competition.
“And here’s the reason why I decided not to play there when I could,” he wrote on Twitter reacting to the Inter Ultras’ letter where they say monkey noises are not racists.
“And at that point, I wish all the black players would get out of this league!”
“Surely it won’t stop their stupidity and hate but at least they won’t affect other races,” he commented.
Demba Ba never played in the Italian Lega Serie A, but once he had a chance to play there and he refused.
