Ousmane Dembele has finally been given the all-clear and returns to Barcelona’s Ciutat Esportiva training facility.
Ousmane Dembele has been out of action since an incident at the Ciutat Esportiva back in February.
The French winger picked up a training ground injury that saw him ruled out for the remainder of the season.
There was talk of him not being allowed back to the club’s facility because they withdrew his league registration.
On top of that, there is plenty of speculation linking the one-time club record signing being for sale due to poor form and continuous injury problems.
It now appears that at least some of those rumors can be put to bed. The player apparently still has some way to go in his recovery but is making progress.
The Barcelona’s official update on the player read:
“Ousmane Dembélé returned on Wednesday to the Ciutat Esportiva.”
“After passing a medical to continue his recovery from the hamstring injury he suffered in training back in February at the Ciutat Esportiva.”
“The problem required surgery which was carried out by Dr. Lasse Lempainen in Turku, Finland.”
It is highly unlikely that Dembele will play again this season even after all the delays. Barcelona needs to sell first in order to buy, will they be able to find a buyer or will this be another Philippe Coutinho style saga?
