The France international was expected to return to action this month but could now be staying longer on the sidelines.
Ousmane Dembele has suffered yet another injury setback and was forced to leave the Barcelona training session earlier today.
The Frenchman only just resumed to action after an hamstring injury that has seen him miss most of the current season.
This issue has been recurring since his move to Barcelona and his future at the club now remains in doubt.
Just recently, Barca boss Setien heaped praises on Dembele and lauded him for his effort and intensity.
Setien was hoping Dembele would be like a new signing for the club and help fill the void in attack Suarez’s injury has brought.
Barca released an official statement on their Twitter page confirming he sustained a knock in training, which reads:
“During this morning’s training session, Ousmane Dembele felt some discomfort in his right leg as a consequence of muscle fatigue.
“He will continue with his rehabilitation.”
Dembele has only featured in five Liga matches for Barca this season, scoring once.
