Ousmane Dembele is unlikely to leave Barcelona this summer contrary to the recent transfer speculations, says Moussa Sissoko.
A hamstring injury during a training session in February meant that Ousmane Dembele was set to spend the remainder of the season on the sidelines.
With Luis Suarez also out injured, Barcelona found themselves thin on the attacking fronts and in a special situation which allowed them to tweak the transfer regulations and bring in Martin Braithwaite from Leganes.
But that was not the first time the Catalans had been unable to make use of Dembele. A regular on the treatment table, the Frenchman has made just 74 club appearances ever since making a €125 million move to Camp Nou in 2017.
Barca, as a result, are rumored to be keen on offloading him at the end of this season. Liverpool and Juventus are the clubs often linked with his signing while a handful of other sides also reportedly interested.
Dembele’s agent, however, feels an exit for the former Borussia Dortmund man is improbable any time soon.
“I don’t expect Dembele to leave Barcelona this summer,” agent Moussa Sissoko told L’Equipe [via Marca].
