Demirbay is feeling good after moving to Leverkusen

The former Hoffenheim midfielder is loving his new club and he’s excited to be playing in the UEFA Champions League next season.

Kerem Demirbay left Hoffenheim this summer to join Bayer Leverkusen in the German Bundesliga.

And the 25-year-old is already loving his time at the club, as he’s very happy to be playing in the UEFA Champions League next season.

“It could not have worked out better for me,” Demirbay’s words were quoted by the Bundesliga official website.

“We’re playing in the Champions League, I get to play with top players, the philosophy of the club and the coaches are, in my opinion, world-class.”

“We want to play with courage, attack from the front, and play football. That suits my style of play,” he added.

“I felt very good at Hoffenheim. I spent three brilliant years there and was able to develop my game.”

He explained: “But at some point, I had the feeling that I needed to take the next step to develop myself further. To have different players around me – a different environment.”
