The Italian Lega Serie A club lost 7-1 against Fiorentina in the Coppa Italia, and now they are facing AC Milan on Sunday.
AS Roma and Fiorentina are not too far apart from each other in the Italian Lega Serie A table.
Roma is currently in the fifth position with 34 points, while “Fiore” is on ninth with 30 units.
And they played each other in the Coppa Italia Quarterfinal, and Fiorentina trashed completely the Giallorossi 7-1 shocking the Italian football world.
For manager Eusebio Di Francesco, coming back from that loss is very difficult, especially as they now have to face AC Milan in the national tournament.
But the coach believes they can do it if they play perfectly against the Rossoneri.
“How do bounce back from 7-1? By playing a perfect match, especially from the mental aspect,” he told Gianluca Di Marzio.
“Three matches ago Milan was in a tough stretch like us, and one week can change the results and how you are perceived.”
“It won’t be an easy match since the Rossoneri are in a good period,” he continued.
“[Daniele] De Rossi? First off I hope he can have a good match and then that he can be the coach on the pitch.”
“The nervousness we saw from [Edin] Dzeko in Florence? It was the ugliest aspect of a painful match,” he explained.
“Edin publicly apologized to everyone, we are men, he was wrong and he can’t repeat the behavior.”
“After we were down 4-1 and we were down to ten men, the intelligent thing to do is not give up more goals,” he continued.
“The positive thing about life is you can make up for things after a failure”.
Roma will host AC Milan tomorrow in the afternoon, then they will travel to play against Chievo Verona on Friday.
The Giallorossi will then play in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 on February 12 against Porto from Portugal.
EDF: "I feel like a father who sometimes doesn't give the right advice, or say the right things. But we must remain united in the face of adversity. We need to find solutions, not people to blame."
