Jack Grealish would apparently love to be a one-man club and may yet reject the overtures of Manchester United and stay with Aston Villa.
Grealish has come up through the ranks at his boyhood club and developed into a top talent that has attracted the attention of some of football’s giants.
The bookies feel the likelihood of the deal happening is moderate to fair.
However, the 24-year-old attacking midfielder is currently at Aston Villa, the club he has supported and followed since he was a young boy.
According to former Villa and England striker Kevin Phillips while he admits he himself could not turn down a club like United he can see Grealish staying loyal.
Speaking to Football Insider he said:
“I am not sure about this because Jack Grealish loves Villa so much.”
“It really would not surprise me if he wants to stay with his boyhood club in the Premier League.”
“I can see him being one of those Steven Gerrards.”
“On the other hand, Manchester United look like they are really going to have a go and sign some players to get them back to where they once were.”
“It is difficult. If I am Jack Grealish and I had the chance to go to Manchester United, I would go. Simple as that. No matter what league I am in.”
“But he is such a diehard Villa supporter, a local lad so I could see him staying.”
Should the Aston Villa captain stay in the West Midlands, who will Manchester United move for instead?
