Diogo Dalo joined Manchester United from Porto in a deal that is worth £17.4million on Wednesday and he’s already endearing himself to fans of the club in a Twitter moment.

He is United’s second signing in as many days after the capturing of Brazilian midfielder Fred.

In one of his announcement videos on Wednesday, the Portuguese tried to quickly acclimatise himself with the Mancunian way of life by learning their slang such as ‘that’s mint’ (that’s great) and ‘alright r kid’ (are you OK, friend?), according to Dailymail.

Another phrase he learned was ‘buzzin’ (happy/excited) and used that word on Thursday as he took to Twitter to express his happiness at joining the club.

‘Yesterday was a “Buzzin” day!! (is it correct, Mancunians?) #MUFC @ManUtd,’ he wrote on Thursday afternoon.

Dalot’s tweet has been well received by United’s fanbase – who have taken their fullback very quickly.

‘Dalot FC applications open. Like this to join,’ tweeted @SudinMUFC, while @Cabruuu ‘You’ll be buzzin when you play at Old Trafford, Diogo.’

@KojoCromwell tweeted: ‘Love the way this young fella is buzzin about his move. Really hope he can back it up on the pitch. Instant cult hero in the making!!!’

‘Hahaha this guys going to be a fan favourite!!’ wrote @RutvikB. ‘Diogo Diogo Diogooo I can feel it ringing across Old Trafford already.
