Diogo Dalot had a great Man Utd debut, says Paul Pogba

Manchester United new boy Diogo Dalot has been praised by teammate Paul Pogba for a solid debut in their 3-0 win over BSC Young Boys on Wednesday night

United signed the 19-year-old right-back in the summer transfer window from FC Porto but were forced to wait for Dalot to recover from a knee injury before they could hand him his debut.

The Portuguese finally made his first appearance by playing the full 90 minutes of the Red Devils Champions League Group H opener against Swiss side Young Boys.

And Dalot’s confident and assured display left Pogba impressed.

“For a debut, he did really well,” Pogba told MTV.

“He suited the team and I’m very happy to see him play like that. All the players were all really proud of him.”

United will next face Wolves on Saturday at Old Trafford in the Premier League, where they hope to make it three wins in a row for the first time this season.
