Borussia Dortmund insists they don’t want Jadon Sancho to leave, but they will not force him to stay either.

Jadon Sancho is rumored to be Manchester United’s number one summer transfer target.

The Borussia Dortmund and England winger has been in phenomenal form yet again this season. This has only served to increased speculation surrounding his future.

It is no secret that Borussia Dortmund are considered by most to be a selling club. They have long lost out to Europe’s elite before when it comes to holding onto their stars.

However, they are also a financially sound club that will not be bullied into selling on the cheap either.

Borussia Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke spoke to German outlet Bild, and insists they would never force a player to stay. But he is just as adamant that the club will determine the valuation of a player being sold too.

He said”

“You always have to respect what the player wants,”

“We already said before corona that our preference is for Jadon to remain with us.”

“I can say clearly that even the very rich clubs, despite the current existential crisis, shouldn’t think they can get a bargain from us.”

“We don’t have to sell anyone below their value.”
