But on a night that saw Jadon Sancho a little quieter than his usual self, he finally got in on the action.
Providing the definitive pass that saw Morrocan international Hakimi get his second of the night and his side’s winner in the 77th minute.
Final score: Borussia Dortmund 3 – 2 Inter Milan.
Dortmund now sits second in Group F just one point behind Barcelona.
