Napoli’s striker Dries Mertens talked about his change of position based on Belgium, and how he hopes he can lift the Scudetto one day.
Belgian striker Dries Mertens has been playing professionally since 2005.
He debuted with Gent in his native country, but also played for Eendracht Aalst, AGOVV, Utrecht, and PSV.
It was in 2013 when he moved to the Italian Lega Serie A to join Napoli.
“I am at Napoli, that is my future,” he was quoted by Football Italia.
“I’d like that too, we’ll see what we can do.”
“I am very happy that Romelu Lukaku is in Serie A and feel he’ll be important for Inter. They can become a great team with him leading the attack,” he added.
“The Bianconeri made a lot of good signings and remain a strong team, but even today it’s still hard to swallow our 4-3 defeat to Juve.”
