Thierry Henry and Didier Drogba are renowned as two of the greatest foreign strikers in Premier League history. But who was better?
Ask an Arsenal fan and the answer is Thierry Henry. Ask a Chelsea fan and the answer is their iconic Ivorian Didier Drogba.
Most ‘unbiased’ football supporters – if you can call them that – would probably lean towards Henry.
But this week, a Twitter thread putting forward the argument that Drogba was better has re-surfaced as the debate over the two players re-ignited on social media.
The Ivorian was known to turn up in ‘big’ games for Chelsea and scored a number of cup-winning goals for the club.
On the other hand, Henry won a record four golden boots in his Premier League reign and has been dubbed by many the ‘greatest player’ to play in the top flight.
Ahead of the FA Cup final tomorrow, Chelsea and Arsenal fans battled it out again to know who the better legend was.
One Chelsea fan on Twitter boldly claimed Drogba was better than Henry and we take a look at some of the best reactions and responses so far.
One Arsenal fan responded by saying he couldn’t think of one thing Drogba was better than Henry at. Even the Chelsea legend’s kids know this.
A Chelsea fan was being realistic in his answer, saying the Gunners icon was the overall better player.
Another Chelsea fan had to admit Henry was the better player too.
Another fan claimed it was baseless and only Van Nistelrooy could be compared with the legendary Frenchman.
A majority of the responses even from Chelsea fans leaned towards Henry being the better player among both legends.
Do you agree with that take?
