Didier Drogba insisted that there are some similarities between his relationship with Mourinho and Pogba’s one – and he claimed that they are arguing this much just because Mourinho likes the Frenchman.
The former Ivory Coast international believes that the Portuguese coach likes Pogba and that’s the main reason he is so angry at him sometimes – he wants him to be better and is not happy with Pogba not filling up his potential.
The former Chelsea striker spoke about this complicated relationship, according to Goal:
“It was heated between us more than once, but Jose will never attack people he doesn’t like.”
“He likes Paul a lot. It’s why he’s given him a lot of responsibility.”
The national team coach, Didier Deschamps, also had something to say:
“I had a long exchange with him to understand. He’s having a difficult period in Manchester, which is also linked to physical problems, the head as well… It’s a bit of both.”
