Didier Drogba has given his support to his former Chelsea teammate Cesar Azpilicueta following the Spaniard’s public call on Twitter for his side
Last season’s Premier League winners Chelsea have endured a difficult season and are currently fourth and 19 points behind league leader’s Manchester City. Since the start of the new year, Chelsea have only won 2 out of their 10 games with two big defeats in their recent games against Bournemouth and Watford.
Chelsea legend Drogba lent his support to Azpilicueta, after the defender made use of Twitter to issue a call to his teammates and supporters of the club.
“Difficult moments will make us stronger,” said Azpilicueta, according to Twitter
Drogba promptly followed with a tweet of his own.
“Keep it up” said the Ivorian
During his time at Stamford Bridge, Drogba scored 157 goals for Chelsea and won four Premier League titles, four FA Cups, three League Cups and the Champions League in two separate spells for the London side.
