Didier Drogba has told Mohamed Salah that his “best is yet to come” after the Liverpool star broke his Premier League record
The forward, who completed a €43m transfer from AS Roma last summer, has had a sensational debut campaign for Liverpool and recently scored his 30th Premier League goal of the season against Bournemouth.
The goal saw Salah break Drogba’s record of being the African player to have scored the most Premier League goals in a single season.
Drogba, who won the Premier League four times in two separate spells at Chelsea, congratulated Salah on Instagram.
“It was just a matter of days before this guy put my goal record as number one African Premier League top scorer to bed.” wrote Drogba.
“So proud of you lil bro to put our continent as high as you can!!! Much love and blessings, like I said before, the best is yet to come.”
