Maurizio Sarri was unceremoniously shown the door by Juventus after their failure to overcome the challenge of Olympique Lyon in the Champions League.

Olympique Lyon were not supposed to put up a fight but managed enough in the 2-1 defeat to progress ahead. Cristiano Ronaldo scored a brace after the Old Lady had gone behind to a Memphis Depay penalty.

It was the straw that broke the camel’s back. Juventus sacked Maurizio Sarri after their ousting from the Champions League.

While many have kept their peace, Paulo Dybala bid Sarri farewell. The former Chelsea and Napoli manager oversaw Dybala igniting his passion for the game.

Under Allegri, the Argentine attacker had managed a measly 10 goals and forgettable two assists while alongside Ronaldo. His return improved under Sarri, jumping to 17 goals and 14 assists.

Publishing a picture alongside the manager on Twitter, Dybala commented:

“Thank you so much for everything Mister!”

Andrea Pirlo has been appointed in his stead and has the tough task of managing big egos and former teammates.
