The Bosnia and Herzegovina goalscorer said that a draw would have been fair, as he is sad after his team lost against Italy.
Bosnia and Herzegovina scored first in tonight’s EURO 2020 Qualifier match against Italy in Turin.
The goal came after an excellent play by Edin Dzeko.
But then Italy scored twice and ended up winning 2-1, something which Dzeko wasn’t thrilled about.
“I’ve cut my head many times, so it’s nothing new,” his words were echoed by Football Italia.
“It’s a pity about the result because we certainly deserved more and a draw would’ve been a fair result.”
“Italy did play better and were in good physical shape after the break,” he added.
“We could’ve hurt them on the counter with a second goal, but we conceded two beautiful goals, although ones that were too easy for a team like us.”
“We should’ve closed them down earlier,” he continued.
“The defeat to Finland wasn’t anywhere near the performance we saw tonight, where we caused big problems for a team like Italy.”
“We hope to make up lost ground, win as many games as possible and get into it,” Dzeko said.
“I am still a Roma player, can finally say after a very long season that I’m going on vacation. Then we’ll see what happens.”
