The European Club Association (ECA) will look towards the future to push the brand outside of Europe, according to Inter Milan’s Steven Zhang.
Internazionale Milan’s Steven Zhang has been elected to the Executive Board of the European Club Association (ECA).
And the Nerazzurri director is pointing towards the future.
“The ECA is leading European football through a fundamental change,” he told the club’s official website.
“I’m convinced that this journey must look at the global markets.”
He added: “The appeal of the European clubs in Asia has immense potential that must be tapped into in order to satisfy the passion of the millions of fans who follow our main competitions.”
“I’m sure that I can make a contribution to building a bridge in developing relations between Europe and Asia.”
“The development of European football cannot ignore young people and their ways of communicating which are: global, instant, digital and without barriers,” he commented.
“I know that I’m very young, I speak their language. This is also why I think that I can contribute to the ECA in this project to change and innovate that it’s bravely taking on.”
