“Not from my perspective, no,” AFC Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe told reporters when asked if Wilson would be allowed to leave for Chelsea.
Callum Wilson is reportedly linked to Chelsea after the Blues expressed interest in the 26-year-old forward. Eddie Howe is now saying that Wilson is not leaving Bournemouth, insisting that the England international is “focused” on his performances with the team.
“Callum is our player, he is very focused on us and you could see that from his performance,” Howe said, according to FourFourTwo.
“He gave everything for the team.”
Bournemouth fell to Chelsea in the EFL Cup quarter-final thanks to a late Eden Hazard goal, and after the match the Maurizio Sarri’s side move to the tournament’s semi-finals, Howe praised Hazard’s quality.
“Hazard always has a habit of scoring against us, he’s a quality player who made the difference.
“He’s a nice sub for them to bring on, we knew we were going to be tested but when you go against the best that’s the best way to judge yourselves.
“Hazard has got such good feet in tight areas that can swing a game, but we should be pleased with the positives from our display.”
