There have been speculations about Eden Hazard trying to seal a five-year deal transfer with Real Madrid but the Chelsea star has trashed the reports.
Hazard’s deal with Chelsea expires by the end of next season and even though the midfielder is uncertain about his next plans after his contract, he says he is only focused for Euro 2020 at the moment.
Reports suggested that Hazard met with Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane to negotiate his contract deal and arrived at a lucrative five-year deal.
Hazard is currently on international duty as captain for his home team and spoke to Sky Sports about the Real Madrid link saying:
“There’s nothing in the reports.
“I’m only focused on tomorrow’s game against Cyprus.
“That’s all I’m thinking about.”
Hazard’s club, Chelsea had rejected a bid of around £60m for his transfer earlier this month, the midfielder seems not ready to take new offers at the moment as he has turned down potential deals at Chelsea.
With the recent transfer ban still hanging over the London club, Chelsea may decide to keep their valued asset Hazard.
On the other hand, If Real Madrid is unable to sign Hazard, there’re tendencies they may go for West Ham’s Felipe Anderson.
