Ederson has been ruled out of the Man City’s match against Liverpool on the weekend
Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson suffered an injury during City’s last match against Atlanta in the Champions League. The Brazilian was then subbed out of the game to be replaced by Claudio Bravo.
Following the injury, Ederson has been ruled out of City’s upcoming premier league fixture. Pep Guardiola recently confirmed that Ederson will be out for a few weeks after a muscular issue. And Man City will be without their number one goalkeeper on their visit to Anfield. Despite Ederson’s injury, Guardiola has denied being worried by his absence. Guardiola confirmed that Claudio Bravo will be playing between the sticks against Liverpool.
“Ederson is not able to play. I don’t know how long he will be out for. Sunday, he cannot play,” said Pep Guardiola.
“We have another top keeper. Claudio Bravo can do it, too. We won the Carabao Cup thanks to Claudio. He’s an exceptional keeper.

“Why should I doubt any player in my team? Why do you ask these questions? I would not like to be a player if my manager doubts me.
“I see him every day in training and how good a goalkeeper he is, we’re not going to lose because of Claudio. The red card at Atalanta is because we lost the ball in a dangerous position.
“You have to respect this guy, he has won trophies and the Copa America. In his first season, the team was not at the top level,” concluded Guardiola
