Bosnian media has confirmed that Edin Dzeko will be joining the national team late because he is in Italy where he is about to finalize his move to Inter Milan

The star striker has been in fine form for AS Roma over the last three years. And it appears that Eden Dzeko is about to officially sign for Antonio Conte’s team. Inter have been in the market for a striker ever since issues between Mauro Icardi and the management arose.

The striker is going to report late for Bosnia’s training camp ahead of finalizing his move to San Siro.

“Dzeko will arrive late to the camp since he is in Italy to finalize an agreement. I hope he succeeds and everyone is happy with what could happen,” Prosinecki confirmed according to Gazzetta.it.

And the former Manchester City man is also keen on ending his association with the capital club. Moreover, money has played a crucial role in this development. Inter are willing to offer the Bosnian a contract worth €4.5 per annum which will make him one of the highest earners in Italian Serie A. At the age of 33, Inter’s offer was too good to turn down.

Regardless, Dzeko has been in fine form during his time in Italy. The striker made 40 appearances for Roma last season, scored 14 goals and provided 11 assists.

And now, Inter are apparently close to acquire their long term target for an undisclosed fee rumored to be around the region of €20 million.

It is clear that Inter are looking to neutralize Juventus’ dominance in the league. With the arrival of Conte and Dzeko, the club is making the right noises in the market. With more targets yet to be acquired, Inter need to thrash things out before pre-season.
