Chris Sutton is adamant that Celtic’s in form center forward can follow the likes of Virgil Van Dijk out of Scotland and to the very top of football.
Odsonne Edouard has been in phenomenal form this season.
While Scottish Champions Celtic are desperate to hold on to the in-form forward, such numbers have seen the 22-year-old French forward linked with a move to a bigger club.
Former Celtic forward Chris Sutton, believes it is only a matter of time. In fact the retired Premier League striker is adamant that Edouard is destined for great things.
Speaking to the Daily Record Sutton sees a similar path to that of former Celtic defender Virgil Van Dijk.
The Ballon d’Or runner-up center back left Celtic for Southampton, before a world-record move to Liverpool. He is now arguably the best defender in the world.
“The French striker is going to the very top just like Van Dijk and he’s been sensational.”
“The striker can do everything. He links the game, he makes runs, he creates and he is a quality finisher.”
“Edouard really assumed the mantle of responsibility as Neil Lennon chased the nine last season.”
“He delivered in emphatic style for his boss and team.”
Edouard apparently tops the wanted list of many Premier League sides, but the Gunners are thought to be one of the favorites.
