The former Reds player wishes he would have joined Manchester United instead; he only scored six goals in 80 appearances

Forward El-Hadji Diouf joined Liverpool in 2002 after he showed a great performance with Senegal in the 2002 FIFA World Cup.

He had a chance to go either to Manchester United, Barcelona or Liverpool.

And the footballer chose to play with the Reds, appearing in 80 matches but scoring only six goals.

When asked about what is the biggest regret of his professional career.

“I would say, Liverpool,” he was quoted by Sky Sports.

“Because if I had the chance again I would go to Manchester United or Barcelona. At the time they wanted me also.”
