After consistent displays for the Serie A giants, Elseid Hysaj has said that he is keen on a new challenge with Manchester United keeping an eye out.
Napoli full back, Elseid Hysaj has become the latest player to be linked with a move to Old Trafford. The Albanian international has been in fine form for Serie A outfit Napoli and has reportedly hinted at a future move away from Naples.
Manchester United have so far been rebuked in their attempts to bring Aaron Wan-Bissaka to the club. The young full back wants to leave Crystal Palace this summer but the Eagles’ asking fee is too high. And it has been reported that United may turn their attentions towards Elseid Hysaj who represents a cheaper alternative.
Indeed, the Napoli man is one of the most underrated full backs in Europe. He has been at the club since 2015 but last season, didn’t get to see a lot of game time under Carlo Ancelotti.
While speaking to Albanian media as reported by Daily Star, Elseid Hysaj says that he is ready for a new challenge and that he needs a change of scenery.
“I’m absolutely ready for a new challenge because I need change,” he told DigitAlb recently.
“I’m not the type of person who likes to stay at a club for too long.
“I want to have new experiences, learn about a new country, meet new people, play for another team and maybe try to win something.
“For me, my time at Napoli is over and I hope to find a team that will give me what I need.”
But it appears that signing Elseid Hysaj would not be that easy. The 25 year old is attracting interest from Atletico Madrid as well.
But United’s need is such that the Red Devils may be looking for a quick fix and might seek Hysaj out this summer.
