Emery expecting a tough clash against Wolves

Arsenal boss Unai Emery reckons his side are in for a tough battle against Wolves on Wednesday night in their fight for a place in the Premier League top four.

The Gunners were shockingly defeated 2-3 at home to Crystal Palace leaving them fifth on the log a point behind rivals Chelsea in fourth place.

Wolves, on the other hand, have lost at Southampton and drawn 0-0 at home to relegation-threatened Brighton since losing their FA Cup semi-final to Watford.

Meanwhile, Nuno Espirito Santo is not taking anything for granted in the fight for the seventh position.

Emery says Arsenal “deserved more”

According to Gunners manager Unai Emery his team shouldn't have lost against Sheffield United as they were denied a "clear penalty."

And Emery acknowledged he is in for another battle against one of the most dangerous teams in the top-flight especially against the Big six.

“I don’t think so,” Emery replied via FourFourTwo when asked if the Wolves players could now be on the beach.

“They are going to push a lot tomorrow. I worked one thing here very quickly – we are playing against all of the teams and they want to battle us, fighting and playing with big motivation.

“One is the motivation in the table for each player and one is the motivation against Arsenal. Every team wants to battle us because they respect us and also because it’s important to try to win against us.”

Emery, who usually offers up a team news update at his pre-match press conference, changed tact ahead of the Wolves game and kept his cards close to his chest.
