Despite the ongoing uncertainty surrounding his future at Paris Saint-Germain, head coach Unai Emery is adamant that he remains fully focused on his responsibilities at the club
Recently the PSG chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi had revealed that Emery’s future at the French capital is in doubt, after the Spaniard secured the club their seventh Ligue 1 title in dominant fashion by thrashing last season’s winners AS Monaco 7-1 on Sunday.
Former Borussia Dortmund coach Thomas Tuchel is the favourite to succeed Emery at the Parc Des Princes stadium for next season with PSG growing increasingly impatient with their target of winning the Champions League.
But Emery has now downplayed these reports that have suggested that he has already been told that he will be released at the end of the season.
“Regarding various information which has emerged over recent days, I would like to make it clear that I am still focused on Paris St Germain and the objectives that we have left and that neither I nor anyone representing me has met with any other club.” he wrote on Twitter.
En relación a diferentes informaciones que han salido en los últimos días, quisiera dejar bien claro que sigo centrado en el Paris Saint-Germain y en los objetivos que nos quedan, y que ni yo ni nadie en mi nombre se ha reunido con ningún otro club.
