With Aaron Ramsey expected to abandon the Emirates Stadium once his contract runs down next summer, Arsenal boss Unai Emery is forced to look for an alternative.
The 27-year-old Welshman, who has spent ten years with the Gunners, seems determined to find a new challenge at the end of the season. Although he has his place in the starting eleven cemented, Ramsey is eager to win some trophies, which is the principal reason he wants to leave.
On the other hand, the former Sevilla manager appears to refuse to sit and wait, as he already found Ramsey’s heir. The 30-year-old Sevilla playmaker Ever Banega emerged as the ideal candidate to orchestrate Arsenal’s play from the next season, that’s according to the Mirror.
Emery already had the chance to work with the Argentinean midfielder during his time in Valencia, and he is well aware of Banega’s capabilities.
However, it’s highly unlikely the Andalusians would renounce their mainstay unless Emery knocks at the door with a proper offer.
