Emil Forsberg is flattered by the interest from AS Roma this summer, but he insists that he remains fully focused on RB Leipzig ahead of their upcoming campaign
The Swedish winger has played a central role of Leipzig’s impressive rise in German football and he has scored 15 goals in 70 appearances in all competitions for the Bundesliga side.
Following Roma’s failed attempt to sign Malcom, the Serie A giants have now reportedly turned their attention to Forsberg.
But, while hinting that he may be willing to listen to any offers, the Sweden international insists that his full focus lies in Leipzig’s upcoming campaign.
“It’s flattering that clubs are showing their interest, and I’m aware of Roma’s interest. However, now I’m just concentrated on Leipzig,” said Forsberg, as quoted by Calcio Mercato.
“I have four years left on my contract with Leipzig. After my vacation, a lot has changed, Ralf (Rangnick) is now the manager, which I think is positive for me. We have a very good relationship and we often talk about life together.
“I have full focus on Leipzig and I want to improve even more. Each player has its dreams but I’m right here, right now, I’m a Leipzig player.”
AC Milan and Everton have also been linked with Forsberg this summer.
