The 16-year-old forward has chosen to join the reigning Spanish and European champions in July 2024 in a deal reportedly worth €70 million.
Endrick has revealed how Cristiano Ronaldo and Vinicius Junior’s influence convinced him to sign for Real Madrid.
It may be another year and a half before Endrick can play in Europe, but that didn’t stop several top European clubs, including Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain, from competing for the Brazilian teenager.
However, the prospect of following in the footsteps of his idol, Ronaldo, and hearing from compatriot Vinicius, proved a major factor for Endrick to sign for Real Madrid.
“Real Madrid is a very big team, and Vini had sent me messages and gave me more hope,” the Palmeiras attacker told Marca.
“Cristiano, who is my idol, also played for Real Madrid. That’s why I chose Real Madrid and I think it’s the right choice. God has always been with me and he has told me that it is the best way.”
Vinicius & Endrick are already close friends
The 16-year-old has spent time with Real Madrid attacker recently, receiving advice for his career and life.
“Several pieces of advice,” Endrick said on the advice Vinicius has given him.
“I couldn’t even talk about it here because there has been so much advice. I would be here talking for a long time. I keep it to myself. But he has not only given me advice for now, but for my whole life.
“He is my friend and I think this friendship will last for many years. I hope I can exchange many passes with him and score goals.”
Real Madrid return to action on Friday away to Real Valladolid in La Liga for the club’s final game of 2022.
