England announce Wales and Nations League games

England has announced a friendly with Wales followed by its opening home games of the Nations League.

The English Football Association has announced the first internationals of the post-COVID-19 fixture list.

The 2019/20 season is not yet over, and obviously what would have been Euro 2020 has been postponed for a year.

The FA has decided to schedule an international friendly with Wales followed by its commitment to play the first Nations League home fixtures.

Staring October 8th they will host Gareth Bale and local rivals Wales. 

Then Three Lions will go into competition mode and take on Eden Hazard’s Belgium October 11th and Denmark October 14th.

The games are scheduled to take place behind closed doors.

The FA’s statement read:

“In keeping with current Government guidelines, the game is scheduled to be played behind-closed-doors.”
