Christian Eriksen made his Inter Milan debut in the Coppa Italia win over Fiorentina, less than 24 hours after completing his move from Tottenham Hotspur.
Christian Eriksen, Ashley Young, and Victor Moses all played a part in Inter Milan’s Coppa Italia match against Fiorentina.
After his debut at the weekend saw him get an assist, Ashley Young played the entire game. Eriksen replaced Manchester United loanee, Alexis Sanchez, in the 66th minute. While Moses was introduced in the 74th minute.
Inter were in dominant form, as they secured a spot in the cup’s semifinals.
It was right before the stroke of half-time that the hosts finally got a breakthrough.
It came via Lautaro Martinez, who poked the ball past Terracciano in the Florence side’s goal.
But there was not enough power to carry the ball into the net. Along came Candreva to finish the attack off by firing the ball into the empty net.
The hosts took their lead into the locker room at the interval.
However, it was the visitors that drew first blood in the second half. On the hour mark, Caceres equalized for Fiorentina. The corner comes in and eh rose high above his marker Martinez and head the ball home for 1-1.
Conte’s side has a ruthless streak about them. The equalizer was the signal to get back to business.
Inter restored the lead only seven minutes after conceding the equalizer. They definitely saved the best until last.
It was a ball headed across the edge of the 18-yard box by Milenkovic. As it fell in place for Barella, he lined up a first-time thunderous shot. Incredibly it rocketed into the bottom left-hand corner of the net.
2-1 to Inter and Antonio Conte’s side march on to the semi-finals.
