Ronaldo still leading the way despite the upset, Schick continues to put pressure on him, while Sterling is steadily rising up the ranks.

Euro 2020 Round of 16 might not have gone according to the scripts but it was filled with entertaining and awe-inspiring football.

France vs Switzerland served as the biggest source of surprise. The big boys were toppled over by the underdogs as Switzerland heroically came back from a losing 3-1 position to force the match into extra time and eventually beat France in the penalty shootouts.

England prevailed over Germany to progress in the quarter-finals. Harry Kane finally broke his duck in the tournament while Raheem Sterling continued his goalscoring streak as England sealed a comfortable 2-0 victory at Wembley.

Elsewhere, defending champions Portugal were kicked out by Belgium, with a sole goal from Thorgan Hazard separating the two sides at 90 minutes.

Spain made history by becoming the first team in European Championship history to score five goals in consecutive games after beating Croatia 5-3 while Denmark’s 4-0 win over Wales saw them become the first team to achieve the feat of scoring at least four goals in consecutive matches in the competition’s history.

Italy needed extra time to get past a defensively solid Austria side while the Czech Republic put two past the Netherlands to send them crashing out of the tournament.
