Europa League group A clubs will clock up air miles, while group B teams will involve the battle of the neighbors.

UEFA.com confirmed Europa League group A consists of Sevilla, APOEL, Qarabag and Dudelange.

Sevilla is the most successful club in the history of the competition, having picked up the trophy a record five times.

Nobody in the group will like the idea of traveling to far reaches of the Caspian Sea, to play Qarabag of Azerbaijan. That will be an 11,000 km round trip for Sevilla and Dudelange and about 8000 km for APOEL.

Sevilla will be confident of progressing, while APOEL will be hoping to demonstrate the form that earned them a 0-0 draw with Ajax in the Champions League qualifiers.

UEFA.com confirmed that Europa League group B consists of, Dynamo Kyiv, FC Copenhagen, Malmo, and Lugano.

While there is no standout team in this group, it will see Scandinavian neighbours Copenhagen and Malmo head to head.  In fact, there is only 43 km between the two clubs stadia.

Dynamo Kyiv will fancy there chances given the hostility of their passionate home crowd. Newcomers Lugano of the Swiss league is a rather unknown quantity and may prove to be a surprise package.

You would expect Sevilla to progress as group A winners, but the group B winners is anyones guess.

The 2nd place qualifier from either group is not something a betting man would take a chance on.
