Nemanja Matic urges Manchester United to try and perform at their absolute best in each of the remaining six Premier League games.

Chelsea and Leicester City both lost ground in the Premier League top-four battle as each of them dropped three points in their Premier League matchday 32.

Frank Lampard’s men were beaten 3-2 by West Ham while Brendan Rodgers’ side suffered a 2-1 defeat against Everton.

Thanks to their slip-ups, and their own victory against Brighton, Manchester United were able to close down the point gap from third & fourth place to just 2 & 3 respectively.

A Champions League qualification is still far from being certain for Man United. However, the remaining round of fixtures are relatively less challenging for them, and Nemanja Matic is hoping his side can have a ‘fantastic’ conclusion to the 2019/20 season.

“We don’t depend only on us, we have to win our games and wait for others to drop points and I hope we can reach that third spot,” Matic told the club’s official website.

“If we do that, then the season will be fantastic for us.

“For us, every game is a final. It doesn’t matter if it’s a real final in the FA Cup or the Europa League, for us every game is a final. We have to think like that.”
