Alexi Lalas believes now is the right time for Christian Pulisic to make a change in leaving Borussia Dortmund for a bigger club

The 20-year-old forward has won plenty of admirers in his two years in Germany and is understood to have attracted interest from the Premier League.

The likes of Liverpool, Tottenham and Chelsea are all reportedly keen on making lucrative moves for the highly-rated Pulisic.

And former United States international Lalas believes Pulisic must seriously consider the prospect of leaving Dortmund for the good of his career.

“There are teams all over the world that would love to have Christian Pulisic right now,” Lalas said on the Herd TV show on YouTube.

“I think he’s done a great job in going over to Germany, he’s done a great job at Borussia Dortmund.

“But I think it’s time for a change right now for Christian Pulisic, and a change to an even higher profile team.”

Along with the likes of Timothy Weah and Weston McKennie, Pulisic is expected to lead the USA to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar after failing to qualify for the last tournament.

Lalas added: “There’s going to be pressure to win, and to deliver. He’s a very young player so he’s still getting better.

“He’s still physically growing, he’s growing as a soccer player. There’s a lot of pressure on his shoulders to lead us [USMNT] into the Promised Land.

“But if you’re the man, you’re gonna take it and say: ‘Yeah, on my watch, we’re going to make sure we qualify for the next World Cup. I am going to lead this team by example’.”

Pulisic has managed 15 goals and 24 assists in 111 appearances for Dortmund in all competitions and is contracted at the club until June 2020.
