Explaining Kylian Mbappe’s transfer strategy at PSG

We need to discuss the reasons Kylian Mbappe hinted at a possible exit from PSG, this is his new and planned transfer strategy.

After receiving all the individual awards from Ligue 1 last Sunday, Kylian Mbappe began a transfer strategy that has at least three different readings at PSG.

The French forward surprised the whole world by announcing that he wants more responsibility at the club or in a different squad with a new project.

But this is not just about possibly getting out of Ligue 1, this can also mean that he simply wants to gain more power at the club.

Kylian Mbappe has earned his right to be considered amongst the best players in the world despite his young age.

This man is the reason PSG won the Ligue 1 and the one player who was always there to replace Neymar when the Brazilian fell injured right in the middle of the season.

The numbers that Kylian Mbappe already has as a player don’t lie, we are talking about a player who has already won three consecutive Ligue 1 trophies.

Mbappe won the World Cup last summer, plus he scored in the final against Croatia when he was just a teenager.

WhoScored reveals that Kylian Mbappe has played a total of 176 matches for both club and Country.

In these games, he has already scored 100 goals and provided 57 assists. Players like Ronaldo or Messi didn’t have numbers like these at the same age.

Mbappe’s biggest reason for dropping the bomb last Sunday.

What Kylian Mbappe said last Sunday was all planned, the player decided to do this for three possible reasons.

The most plausible is that he feels he has already done enough in French football and he believes it’s time to take the next step.

The second reason is that he probably doesn’t want to live under Neymar’s shadow anymore and he wants a similar level of power inside the club.

The third and more superficial reason Kylian Mbappe might have said these things is that he simply wants a big raise.

We need to understand that players like him can cause an earthquake with a simple statement, even the stock market gets affected when these things happen.

All of Spain went completely crazy with this information, but the happiest person after this happened was Florentino Perez.

The Real Madrid president is convinced that after these statements from Kylian, his chances to sign either him or Neymar have increased tenfold.

If the French forward doesn’t leave, it’s very likely that the Brazilian star is the man who might decide to leave the institution.

PSG ease to victory, but at a cost

French champions Paris Saint-Germain coast to a routine 4-0 win over Toulouse, but lose two stars in the process. BBC Sport have reported on PSG's...

Whatever happens in the end, the winner of this whole drama will be Real Madrid.

PSG’s weak response to Mbappe’s statement.

Now that Paris Saint-Germain knows about the player’s intentions, they did try their best to respond to this challenge from Kylian Mbappe.

The French club is aware there is very little they can do in order to change the player’s mind, they would have to fire Neymar in order to keep him inside the squad.

This whole situation has turned into a power struggle that will have both players having a dispute over who is the star of the club.

PSG did issue a statement in which they denied that Mbappe was leaving but he already created a monster.

The club knows that Kylian’s future is very much out of their hands at this point.

“The strong bonds and common history that unite PSG and Kylian Mbappe will continue next season,” wrote PSG on its various official social media accounts.

“We have a shared ambition to make European Football history on the year that PSG turns 50 years old.”

“This is a very expected moment that can get us together to write a significant page in our club’s history.”

“Each character from his story will have to play his part, we all need to keep working for the benefit of this collective.”
