Fabinho has hinted that his return could be sooner than expected after recovering well from his injury.
Liverpool midfielder Fabinho has been on the sidelines ever since suffering from an ankle injury in November last year.
Fabinho’s injury meant a growing headache for Jurgen Klopp as he joined an already extended list of injured players at Liverpool.
Fortunately, the Reds have managed to shake it off and soar even higher during the Brazilian’s absence.
Speaking to Telefoot, Fabinho hinted that Liverpool could expect good news as he is nearing his return. The 26-year old said that he felt confident after performing well in his recovery process but a clearing from the medical team was still due.
“I’m on the right path,” Fabinho assured.
“We are in full recovery. I train individually. For example, I make changes in direction but also exercises with the ball. I am very confident [about a quick comeback].
“I think I can resume soon, but we will see with the medical staff.”
Fabinho also addressed Liverpool’s title race insisting that they must not take things for granted and continue to fight until the end of the season.
“We can win the title, but we are not yet champions,” he said.
“We are on the right track. What we have done so far is incredible, but we must continue.”
