Bruno Fernandes put on a Wolves shirt after Manchester United’s match against them last night.

Manchester United fans’ long term wait finally came to an end as Bruno Fernandes took to the pitch to mark his debut in the Premier League.

Bruno Fernandes was linked with a move to Man United ever since the last summer. The Portuguese international, in January too, was aching for a move to the Premier League while laying out his intentions clearly to Sporting Lisbon. After a negotiation that seemed to go on for ages for the Man United fans, Fernandes finally made a switch to Old Trafford this week.

The €55 million player played his first match in Manchester United’s goalless draw against Wolves last night. He was also named as the Man of the Match by the club’s official website.

After the match, Fernandes strolled the pitch while applauding towards the home fans. And in the process, he swapped shirts with one of his international teammates Daniel Podence.

The fans quickly took notice of his action and teased the player in a playful way on social media. One said:

“Breaking News: Bruno Fernandes leaves Man United and joins Wolves after realizing how sh*t they are.”

“De Gea not even realizing he was shaking Bruno Fernandes’ hand and thinking it was a Wolves player,” added another.
