Nabil Fekir was a crucial man for Lyon this season as they completed their comeback to the Champions League but he has been expected to leave as especially Liverpool have been interested in signing him.
However, the offensive midfielder claimed that nothing has been signed yet and he is not close to joining the Reds despite the reports have been saying something different lately.
Fekir spoke about his future as he said, according to Standard:
“I’m not close to the Reds.”
“There are talks with clubs. I will take time to reflect on things.”
Club president Jean-Michel Aulas doesn’t know that is going to happen either:
“We simply know that teams are interested. His agent, Jean-Pierre Bernes, has told us so.”
“There have been no discussions either with Nabil or with other clubs, so it’s very premature. He’s also hesitating about whether he wants to play in the Champions League with Lyon.”
