Marouane Fellaini has put an end to rumors linking him to a reunion with Jose Mourinho at Tottenham Hotspur.
Jose Mourinho has apparently earmarked his first signing at Tottenham.
He wants a midfielder.
However, it has to be someone special. One who can jump in and do whatever he needs?
A kind of go-to guy.
Someone who can play in the midfield if needed, but switch to a forward too.
The tall Belgian was Mourinho’s surprise ally at Old Trafford. If Mourinho was in doubt he got his Fellaini out.
Fellaini was signed by David Moyes. He was never really endeared to by the fans.
But the Portuguese changed all that as he became the unsung hero.
The “special one” has a habit of bringing in his favorite sons from previous clubs.
His most recent being Nemanja Matic from Chelsea joined him at United.
With Fellaini in China, it was rumored he may be tempted back to the Premier League. Especially if his old boss came calling.
Talking to Eleven Sports, he admits to being in regular contact with him. But he has ruled out leaving China for now.
“Jose is special for me.”
“We text each other, we call each other from time to time.
“He’s taken over at Spurs and he’s doing well.”
” I wish him all the best, but I am good where I am now.”
