Rio Ferdinand is backing Liverpool to win the Champions League again this season.
The former Manchester United defender’s words will not have gone down well with his fans. However, Ferdinand does not see a side that is more balanced and complete.
Even though Manchester City beat Real Madrid at the Bernabeu, he doesn’t believe they can win it.
The mighty Juventus have his old teammate Ronaldo in their side, Ferdinand insists it’s not enough.
Bayern Munich has put on some goal scoring masterclasses this season, but he feels they still have weaknesses.
Speaking to BT Sport, he can’t see anyone touching the Merseysiders.
“I can’t look no further than Liverpool if I’m honest.”
“I think they’ll go through against Atletico Madrid.”
It’s a tough game but I think Anfield gives it a different dimension.”
“But Liverpool are my standout favorites.”
