Manchester City’s midfielder, Fernandinho, is making strides, fulfilling any position for Pep Guardiola, making himself an integral part of the team.
His Brazilian compatriot, Dida, was put between the posts.
Now, the defense is really something else. Some huge names pop up, as Fernandinho puts the back for with Lahm, Maldini, Marquez, and Cordoba.
Explaining his choices, Fernandinho said:
“One of the best was Philipp Lahm. I played against Cafu but he (Lahm) was one of the best without the ball and with the ball,” as quoted by Manchester Evening News.
“I played against Paolo Maldini as a left-back. He was one of the best defenders in the world. He was clever and intelligent and never gave the ball away.
“Rafa Marquez was outstanding. I played against him in 2008. The way he kept the ball and found the right passes was great.
“Ivan Cordoba has to be the other centre-back. He used to play for Inter Milan. He won so many headers despite being small.”
Midfield was dominated with Serie A icons, such as Pirlo, Seedorf, and Zanetti.
The attacking trio is where it gets really scary. Two Ronaldos and a Messi. Now, who would’ve stopped that?

For all the criticism he receives for tactical fouls, Fernandinho sure can recognize greatness when he tackles it.
