Sam Field has got his whole career ahead of him and he seems to be sure that he wants to spend the major part of it in West Bromwich Albion as he signed a new contract with his beloved club.
It wasn’t a hard decision for the youngster as he was a season-ticket holder and he can now expect to be part of the squad on the pitch. He said that he feels honoured to be given this chance and he believes that he will play as much as possible with the Baggies.
The youngster, who has supported this club his whole life, said, according to wba.co.uk: “It’s always an honour to play for West Brom so to get another year is just fantastic. The more years I can spend here the better. I’m dead chuffed!”
He was obviously very happy with his new contract as he claimed: “It wasn’t one that I took much time to dwell over. I’m delighted to get it done and sorted now. I’ve been here since I was seven. The dream has always been to play in the First Team and hopefully over the next couple of years I get to do so more and more.”
Field also hopes that he will be given a chance to play more minutes for his side: “To start playing regularly now is the next stage of my development. I’ve had two games at the start of this season and we managed to win them both which is brilliant. Hopefully, I can get a run towards the end of the season. If not it might be going on loan, get some games and more experience. Hopefully, in the years to come, it’s fighting for a regular spot in the team.”
He can definitely have a bright future with West Brom – will he fulfil his huge potential?
