Five goals from five different scorers saw PSG thrash Galatasaray 5-0 at the Parc des Princes.

Paris Saint Germain had already secured top spot in Group A.

Galatasaray, on the other hand, was scrapping it out for a third-place with Club Bruges.

The Turkish side’s quest for Europa League football after a dismal Champions League campaign was of little consequence to the Parisians.

The hosts took their time to get off the mark, but when they did, it was as if the flood gates opened.

It was the 32nd minute when the in-form loan star Mauro Icardi opened up the scoring.

The assist came from Kylian Mbappe.

Only two minutes later Pablo Sarabia got in on the action after being set up by Neymar.

The visitors were able to hang on despite immense pressure from the hosts to keep the score to a respectable 2-0 at halftime.

Less than a minute after the restart, Neymar got one for himself, with Mbappe the provider yet again.

The fans had to then wait a whole 17 minutes for the next goal.

Neymar once again supplying the crucial pass, this time for Mbapape to get a goal of his own.

With the game all but over, Edinson Cavani got in on the action. He was introduced as a replacement for Icardi in the 68th minute.

Cavani seized the rare opportunity to reunite with his one-time strike partners Mbappe and Neymar.

After Kylian Mbappe was fouled in the penalty area, Cavani was the one to convert the spot-kick and complete the five-star performance.

The Turks finished dead last as their European quest comes to an end.

PSG, on the other hand, will be hoping the Mbappe and Neymar show continues and leads to the potential holy grail.

The pair had a hand in everything that their side did.
