Manchester City were left to rue what might’ve been following their chaotic 1-1 Champions League draw away to Atalanta.
Manchester City headed to Italy needing victory to book a last-16 spot in the Champions League on Wednesday. However, they left with just a point instead following dramatic clash in Atalanta.
Raheem Sterling only took seven minutes to put Pep Guardiola’s ahead by firing the ball into the bottom corner. The strike seeminly put City on their way to a knockout spot before the drama unfolded.
First, Gabriel Jesus missed a penalty in the first-half before Guardiola had to substitute an injured Ederson during the break.
Then, just four minutes into the second-half, Mario Pasalic’s header put Atalanta level. Although City managed to scrap a point following Claudio Bravo’s dismissal, which left them a man and goalkeeper down.
Now, we’ll take a look at what went down in Italy.
