Italy maintained their perfect Euro 2020 qualification record by thrashing a sorry Armenia 9-1 in record-breaking fashion.
Despite having already sealed qualification to Euro 2020 and top spot in Group J, Italy didn’t ease off the gas and inflicted even more misery on a poor Armenia in Palermo on Monday night.
Roberto Mancini’s men were determined to grab victory, and end their qualification campaign by winning all 10 of their games.
Three first-half goals from Ciro Immobile, Nicolo Zaniolo and Nicolo Barella handed Italy a comfortable lead. The first two then struck again after the break as the hosts embarked on a six-goal spree to seal an unbelievable win.
