The world’s most expensive defender gave another steady and assured performance in the Old Trafford defence.
It wasn’t exactly an eye-catching display, but Maguire did what was asked of him – stop Harry Kane.
The Spurs striker, who had already scored three goals under Mourinho, saw little of the ball in the game. In fact, Maguire comfortably had the measure of him both in the air and on the ground itself.
Kane’s closest chance to scoring came when he curled a free-kick just over the crossbar in the first-half.
